Did you know that 22 U.S veterans commit suicide each day? In the course of one year, that is 8,030 lives lost.
The numbers are a true testament of how necessary mental health services are for our military men and women as they return home from multiple deployments. As clinic director of the Alliant Couple and Family Clinic, it is part of my mission to provide counseling services for our local military and their families. With the EFT model, we are able to make drastic changes happen in the families we work with on a weekly basis in order to reduce the risk of divorce, violence and suicide. Our military members often do not utilize their government resources to mental health services due to confidentiality concerns and long wait lists.
At the ACFC, we believe mental health needs cannot be put on a wait list.
In order to continue our services to our military members, the ACFC is hosting Unbroken: Cabaret for a Cause, May 3, 7 p.m., at the Poway Performing Center for the Arts. All funds generated from this event will be put toward our mission of giving back to our military families.
We hope you can join us for a beautiful evening at the theater to support our military and the ACFC.
If you are unable to attend or simply wish to contribute to our cause, there are several underwriting opportunities and donation options available. Every contribution goes to support our military services.
Thank you for your support!
